MLSE Scotiabank Venue Reimagination Project
At the heart of Toronto’s sports culture, Scotiabank Arena stands as a beacon of fan engagement and technical excellence. Ramcom successfully completed the integration, installation, and commissioning of over 1,630 LG LSCB cabinets, creating 19 distinct DVLED features throughout the facility. Notably, by utilizing Nova H Series controllers and custom Atec frames, we delivered a high-performance sporting venue AV and signage solution that redefines how fans experience live events. Ultimately, this project serves as a national benchmark for large-scale arena technology refreshes.

Strategic Design & Infrastructure Planning
Our partnership with MLSE began with deep design collaboration and integration support. In particular, our team attended all structural, fabrication, and site meetings to ensure that electrical, data, and fiber requirements were perfectly aligned with the project’s Scope of Work (SOW). Furthermore, this proactive coordination allowed us to anticipate challenges and ensure that the foundational infrastructure was built to support the massive digital assets being deployed.

High-Density Fiber & Copper Deployment
A world-class stadium requires a robust data backbone. Ramcom managed the design, integration, and deployment of fiber and copper feeds to every digital asset and feature in the building. To achieve this, we procured and installed certified fiber backbones using precision fusion-splicing techniques and high-speed Cat6 drops. As a result, every display across the venue operates on a high-bandwidth, redundant network designed for 100% uptime during professional sporting events.

Precision Rack Integration & System Commissioning
The “brain” of the Scotiabank Arena project consists of nine fully populated equipment racks distributed across the building. Specifically, our technicians meticulously dressed, labeled, and documented these racks, providing comprehensive as-built hand-offs for the client. In addition, we commissioned the Novastar H Series processors and managed the complex content cut-over, ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems to a modern, turnkey sporting venue AV and signage solution.

Professional DVLED Installation & Module Alignment
The visual impact of the reimagination project rests on the precise installation of LG LSCB cabinets. Notably, our team installed and aligned LG rails with microscopic precision to ensure a seamless “canvas” across all 19 features. Furthermore, we routed all cabling for maximum redundancy and completed the installation with professional LG trim edges. Consequently, the resulting displays provide a flawlessly uniform image that captivates fans from every angle of the arena.

Collaborative Quality Assurance & Project Close-Out
The final phase of the project involved a multi-stakeholder verification process to ensure every specification was met. We collaborated closely with LG to verify Novastar programming and worked alongside MLSE staff to ensure every feature operated perfectly. Finally, a comprehensive test with WJHW, CAA ICON, and the MLSE executive team confirmed that the project was completed to the highest industry standards, delivering an elite technology package on schedule.
