Havergal College
Educational Environment Design & Planning
Provided AV system design, integration, and delivery across multiple academic and extracurricular environments at Havergal College. Systems were tailored to the specific acoustic, lighting, and spatial requirements of gyms, theatres, and classrooms, directly comparable to lecture halls, labs, and event spaces within post-secondary institutions.
Classroom AV Standardizaion Program
Over a 9-year period, supplied and installed approximately 15 classrooms per year as part of a recurring summer refresh program. Each classroom deployment included Epson ultra short throw projectors, TOA amplification and speakers, and complete cabling and installation. Standardized system layouts and workflows simplified faculty training, reduced support overhead, and improved long-term system consistency across campus.
Interactive Learning & Large Format Display Systems
Designed and delivered interactive classroom environments, including ultra short throw projection systems paired with professional audio reinforcement. Completed a major project in 2020 that included an LG DVLED video wall, Epson large venue projection with Draper Access XL V motorized screen, and full system commissioning, demonstrating experience with advanced visualization technologies.
Gymnasium Audio & Visual Systems
Upgraded gymnasium audio systems to support assemblies, athletics, and events. Delivered a distributed sound system featuring TOA HX-series compact arrays, subwoofers, and multi-channel digital amplification, ensuring consistent coverage and intelligibility. Installed large venue laser projection, motorized projection lift, and custom screen systems with integrated control interfaces.
Theatre & Performance Space Upgrades
Completed targeted upgrades to legacy theatre audio infrastructure, including new loudspeakers, high-power amplification, and supporting cabling. Improved performance reliability and audio clarity while integrating with existing architectural and rigging constraints.
IT & Network Coordination
Worked closely with Havergal’s internal IT team to ensure secure network connectivity, proper device integration, and compatibility with campus standards. Supported centralized management and long-term maintainability of AV systems.
Operational Coordination & Safety Compliance
Scheduled installations around active academic calendars to minimize disruption during school operations. All personnel adhered to strict access control, background check, and student safety requirements, aligning with protocols commonly found in post-secondary environments.
Documentation & Ongoing Partnership
Provided system documentation, commissioning support, and long-term service across projects ranging from large capital deployments to smaller targeted upgrades. Demonstrated a “no job too small” approach, using smaller projects as opportunities to build trust, consistency, and long-term partnership.
Peel District School Board
Peel District School Board (PDSB) has trusted Ramcom as a technology and AV partner for over 18 years. Throughout this long-standing relationship, Ramcom has played a key role in delivering modern learning environments across the district, supporting both new school builds and large-scale retrofit projects.
Our team has successfully deployed over 1,000 interactive displays and TVs and more than 2,000 projectors across 262 schools, helping standardize and enhance classroom technology district wide. Ramcom has also designed and installed universal meeting and presentation spaces, complete with professional-grade sound systems and microphones, enabling clear communication, collaboration, and engaging presentations.
Hamilton Wentworth District School Board
Ramcom has been a trusted technology partner for the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) for over 10 years, delivering reliable infrastructure and AV solutions across both new school builds and facility retrofits.
Throughout this partnership, Ramcom has completed multiple large-scale structured cabling projects for new schools as well as the HWDSB Head Office, providing a strong, future-ready network foundation to support daily operations and evolving technology needs. In addition, our team has designed and installed classroom AV solutions, including projectors and integrated sound systems, enhancing teaching, learning, and communication across numerous classrooms.
Georgian College
1. Initial Design Review & Pre-Installation Coordination
Reviewed existing LCD matrix installation and recessed wall conditions. Supported solution development to ensure the replacement DVLED video wall fit within the existing recessed opening without significant wall modifications, while maintaining required ventilation clearances. Coordinated with Georgian College stakeholders and in-house AV and IT teams.
2. De-Installation & Disposal
Safely de-installed and disposed of the pre-existing LCD matrix video wall, including removal of mounting hardware and associated cabling, in accordance with site requirements.
3. DVLED Video Wall Supply
Supplied LG 1.2mm pitch DVLED video wall system, including wall-mount solution, dual controllers, and 10 percent spare parts. Final configuration delivered a total screen size of 7.20 m x 2.03 m, total resolution of 5760 x 1620, and brightness of 800 nits.
4. Installation & Integration
Installed and aligned dvLED cabinets within the recessed wall space, ensuring precise module alignment and consistent airflow for thermal management. Integrated the video wall with Georgian College’s existing Crestron control system in collaboration with the College’s in-house Crestron programmer.
5. Commissioning & Training
Commissioned the DVLED system, verified controller configuration, image performance, and operational stability. Provided operational training for Georgian College staff and guidance on content development best practices for both classroom and event use.
6. Post-Installation Support & Close-Out
Provided project close-out documentation and ongoing post-install service and support to ensure long-term performance and reliability of the video wall, recognizing its critical role as both an instructional and event space asset.
